Why does my controller show “Pause”?
There is one of two reasons why your Muxall Pro BBQ Controller is pausing your cook: Flame-On Detection or Flame-Out Detection has failed its test.
THE MOST COMMON CAUSE IS LEAVING THE LID OPEN.
Flame-On and Flame-Out Detection work by testing that the grill temp is increasing when the auger is adding pellets. This way, if the grill has failed to light, flamed out, or has ran out of pellets, Flame-On or Flame-Out detection can pause until the pit master can fix the issue. This prevents the auger from overrunning the burn pot with pellets. The controller and app will beep continuously while it is in the Pause state.
If the lid on the grill is left open, the chamber temp drops or won’t increase and causes Flame-Out or Flame-On Detection to fail its test. If you are going to cook with the lid open, disable Flame-On and Flame-Out Detection under the Config tab in the Muxall Pro BBQ Controller web app.
To un-Pause and restart the cook, press the “Start” button in the app or on the button panel. The controller will go into “Ignite Fire” to relight the grill and then will continue the cook from where it left off.
